Student-Athletes choose UNC Asheville for two reasons: the chance to receive a nationally ranked liberal arts education, and to work with the Bulldog coaches and staff to compete for Big South Conference Championships.
To sustain this relationship, we must continue to recruit, retain, educate, and graduate student-athletes who will succeed in the classroom, in the athletics arena, and in the community. The key to recruiting these individuals involves the availability of scholarships and first class facilities.
UNC Asheville has a total of 78 full-equivalent athletic scholarships covering 15 intercollegiate athletic teams and 198 student-athletes. This is far below the 132.7 full scholarships we are allowed under NCAA guidelines. Our goal is to close this gap through support from donors like you.
