The Honors Program provides a rich curriculum for motivated students who seek to understand themselves and make a difference in the world. Together, students and faculty form a community of caring, dedicated and enthusiastic scholars.
Honors Program students enjoy many rewarding opportunities, including meeting distinguished campus visitors, special admission to cultural events, attending guest lectures and forging strong relationships with talented professors and students. One special opportunity open to only Honors Program students is afforded through the UNC London experience, a partnership between UNC Asheville and UNC Chapel Hill.
Honor students are encouraged to participate in Asheville area service-learning partnerships with the "I Have a Dream Foundation" and "In Real Life" after-school program. UNC Asheville Honor students are helping 40 "Dreamers" from the Pisgah View Public Housing Community become great citizens and Asheville Middle School teens become successful members of our community.
A gift to the Honors Program helps UNC Asheville encourage, recognize and reward those students who are engaged in scholarship, campus life and the greater Asheville community.
