Lifetime Email Address
Alumni receive access to a lifelong email account that they can take with them when they change jobs, schools, or cancel their other email addresses. The email is hosted by Google and comes with many of the same features as a regular Gmail account. Six months after graduation, student email accounts are deactivated. To sign up, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, class year, and birthday (for verification).
Alumni email accounts are alumni.unca.edu addresses and are different than student accounts. To transfer emails and contact information, follow these instructions from UNC Asheville ITS.
Lifetime Career Services
UNC Asheville alumni have lifelong access to the Career Center. Services offered to alumni include career coaching and advising, graduate school and job search strategies, job and networking opportunity postings, and employer information sessions. To schedule an appointment, call 828.251.6515 or email email@example.com.
UNC Asheville Alumni Online Book Club
Just because you’re out of school doesn’t mean you’re done reading! The UNC Asheville Alumni Association Online Book Club utilizes an online forum to allow alumni to engage in discussion with other alumni from anywhere in the world and participate when it’s convenient for them. The club reads six books throughout the year and members will have the opportunity to vote for which books they’d like to read.
The UNC Asheville Newsletter is sent out each month with news about what’s happening at the university and information on upcoming alumni events. To sign up to receive the newsletter, click here.
A new tradition was started by the Alumni Board of Directors in December 2017. Before commencement, every student will receive an alumni lapel pin to commemorate their transition from students to alumni. We hope that this pin will serve as a reminder of what it means to be alumni and the importance of staying connected. We invite you to complete this form or call our office at 828.251.6512 to request a pin, so you can keep your alma mater close to heart and represent UNC Asheville in your daily life.
