Annual Giving

Your annual gift makes a difference in the lives of students this year and for years to come.

Annual gifts support a variety of opportunities as diverse as our donors themselves. Your annual gift may be contributed without designation to a broad array of current year priorities through the University Excellence Fund, or you may choose to give to meet a specific need, by giving to a specific scholarship fund, for instance. Your annual gift may be supplemented by a matching gift from your employer. It may be a tribute gift given in honor or memory of someone, or it may be a gift that supports a specific center on campus, like the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a regional treasure that serves creative people in the second half of life.

Annual gifts are vital to the success of UNC Asheville students because they help to ensure continued academic excellence. Many go for scholarships.

"Thanks to academic and athletic scholarships," says Quentin Reynolds '15, psychology major and starting forward for the men's soccer team (pictured), "I can focus on my studies and career goal of being a pharmacist."

When you give an unrestricted annual gift, you provide maximum flexibility to the university’s leaders to serve the areas of highest priority. You make it possible to respond quickly to critical needs and tremendous opportunities that enrich students, the university and the community.

Whatever form your annual gift takes, it makes a powerful impact on the students and communities it supports.
