It’s hard to believe that we lost John Cram, local entrepreneur, philanthropist, and art enthusiast. John’s memory lives on in the arts scene he cultivated, the businesses he built, and in the many lives he touched.
UNC Asheville and the local arts community are inextricably linked through the many fine artists who teach there and through the talented students who have enhanced the Asheville arts scene that John helped build. UNC Asheville is currently working on the modernization of Owen Hall, which houses Art and Art History, and much of the creative work happening on the campus.
John’s family and friends have come together to name a prominent space in Owen Hall in his honor, forever associating his name with the things he labored so long to cultivate: beautiful creative arts; the joy of discovery; and the promise of young artists.
Join us in making a gift in support of this goal. Together, we can continue John’s legacy of supporting the arts and giving back to the UNC Asheville community.
